It’s rare that actors under legal drinking age can carry a movie. It’s even rarer when that talent can also deliver a fastball in the upper 90s. Regional sports blog, the NY Times has published a list of actors, mostly children, who are “Bringing the Heat in Summer Movies.” Batters beware!
On this list is Hellion‘s own Josh Wiggins, who, by the looks of it, is going to be a hot prospect in the upcoming MLB draft. The article mentions that Wiggins’ performance “bristled with live-wire, nervous energy, as he shifts from rage to flustered confusion and vulnerability, often in a single, silent shot.” No mention was made of his fastball or slider, but we can assume they are respectively blistering and scorching.
The article also uses the photo above, which means its photographer, Lauren Logan, gets a New York Times photo credit. Lauren shot all of the Arts+Labor staff photos on our website. She’s also married to our talented head of production Andrew Logan. Congrats to Lauren for the credit.
Hellion opens in New York and LA June 13th. It will also be available on VOD that same day.
